Pete Hanna Center
The convocation/arena/fitness complex, Pete Hanna Center, was completed in fall 2007. The center provides outstanding playing facilities for volleyball, and men's and women's basketball in a 5,000-seat arena, a fitness/wellness complex for the entire student body, and state-of-the-art training facilities for Samford's varsity sports.
Also included in the facility are offices, meeting space and support facilities for coaches and athletic administration. The facility is adjacent to Bashinsky Field House and can be expanded up to 6,000 seats for commencement and other major nonathletic events.
Prior to the 2018-19 season a state-of-the-art, center-hung video board was added to the arena. Improvements were also made to the acoustics in the arena the same year.

From I-20 / 59 North: Exit onto I-65 South toward Montgomery. Continue approximately five miles and take Exit 255 to Lakeshore Drive. Turn left onto Lakshore Drive and continue approximately two miles. Turn left at the fourth traffic light into the main gate. Turn left onto Montague Drive. Turn left onto Dawson Drive. Pete Hanna Center is on the left.
From I-65 North: Take Exit 255 to Lakeshore Drive. Turn right onto Lakshore Drive and continue approximately two miles. Turn left at the fourth traffic light into the main gate. Turn left onto Montague Drive. Turn left onto Dawson Drive. Pete Hanna Center is on the left.
From I-20 West Exit onto I-459 South toward Montgomery / Tuscaloosa. Continue approximately 10 miles and take exit for Highway 280 North toward Mountain Brook. Take Lakeshore Drive exit and turn left onto Lakeshore Drive. Continue approximately three miles. Turn tight into the main gate. Turn left onto Montague Drive. Turn left onto Dawson Drive. Pete Hanna Center is on the left.
From I-65 South: Take Exit 255 to Lakeshore Drive. Turn left onto Lakshore Drive and continue approximately two miles. Turn left at the fourth traffic light into the main gate. Turn left onto Montague Drive. Turn left onto Dawson Drive. Pete Hanna Center is on the left.
From I-59 South: Exit onto I-65 South toward Montgomery. Continue approximately five miles and take Exit 255 to Lakeshore Drive. Turn left onto Lakshore Drive and continue approximately two miles.
